30 Weeks

How far along:  30 weeks

Size of baby:  cucumber
Average size: 15.2 -16.7 inches, 2.5-3.8 lb.

Clothes:  Maternity jeans, workout pants (not because I've been busy working out), regular and maternity shirts.  Let's face it... my wardrobe consists of about 10 things when I'm not pregnant and when I am things are even more limited.  Odds are if anyone has seen me in person 5 times I've had the same outfit on 4 of those times.

Gender/Names:  Boy - Knox Haddon (names from John Knox and Charles Haddon Spurgeon)

Sleep:  Still sleeping well!  Yay!

Movement:  Feeling you move still but I don't think you move as much as your brothers did.  There are times that I start to panic when I realize I haven't felt you move but if I just stop for a few minutes you start squirming around again.  Can we talk about how cool this is?!?!  You are a person, living and moving inside of me.  That's pretty darn awesome!  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm glad I'm the one that gets to be pregnant and not Daddy because I LOVE it!

Cravings:  Nothing weird in the craving department the last couple weeks.

Update:  My blood pressure was normal again on Thursday (my last appointment).  I'd say that's a pretty big feat because we had just gotten back from 3 days at Holiday World and I was preparing for close to 30 people to be at our house that night for dinner AND I took your brothers to the appointment.  If my blood pressure was normal in the midst of all of that I'm going to go ahead and say all is well for now in the blood pressure department.  I think this was the first appointment I took your brothers to with me.  On the way there I was explaining (threatening is probably a more accurate description) how I expected them to behave and that they would get to hear your heartbeat Case gasped and said, "This is so exciting!"  I think he's really starting to understand that you are a person and that you'll be joining our family very soon.  It's been a lot different this time around since he's so much older!

We've taken major steps in getting your room ready!  We're almost there.  I will post pictures soon but I've finished your crib sheet, crib skirt, and Daddy got some stuff on the walls.  Lots of progress!

28 Weeks

Sorry gang... you get me in my jammies
this time around because I forgot to get
a pic before I changed.  The alternative,
my jogging suit, wasn't much better!

How far along:  28 weeks

Size of baby:  eggplant

Clothes:  Maternity jeans, workout pants (not because I've been busy working out), regular and maternity shirts.  Let's face it... my wardrobe consists of about 10 things when I'm not pregnant and when I am things are even more limited.  Odds are if you've seen me in person 5 times I've had the same outfit on 4 of those times.

Gender/Names:  Boy - Knox Haddon (names from John Knox and Charles Haddon Spurgeon)

Sleep:  Still sleeping well!  Yay!  I am starting to have some ligament pain, which makes me feel like I should be carrying my stomach separate from my body somehow.

Movement:  Loving feeling you move!  I feel you still all around my bladder.  I still don't feel strong kicks very often but more just squirms.  I definitely feel you though and that's all I care about.

Cravings:  I've been pretty good about keeping things low sodium these past couple weeks but it turns out chocolate is low in sodium so that hasn't changed!  I have been eating more fruit too.  I'm glad more fruit is starting to come into season to make that a little easier.

Update:  My blood pressure yesterday was 130/80 so we are back to normal!  Yay!  I took my own machine to compare and got a reading higher than I've ever gotten at home so I know there's something to it being situational.  I'm VERY happy about that but I will still try to watch my sodium at least some because I don't want it to get high.  More good news... I passed my diabetes test and my thyroid has stayed in the normal range with my current medication.  Woohoo!

The nursery decorating has been a little slow lately *cough cough Daddy Cough*.  We've still made a lot of progress though and I'm still loving your nursery.  Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to post pictures!
